Anyone else love them as much as I do? I'm quite fond of "Catch Me Now" and "Victoria".
Anyone?

They had some classics.
Useless fact: Waterloo Sunset was originally called Liverpool Sunset.

I like the Kinks quite a bit. My own favorites are "Waterloo Sunset," "Picture Book," and, I don't know, "Sunny Afternoon."

Fucking brilliant band. "...are the Vilage Green Preservation Society" and "Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)" are classic, classic albums.
I love "Autumn Almanac" myself. And "See My Friends", "Starstruck", "Days", "Some Mother's Son"...goes on, really. Of course, there's all the classic, well-known ones too.
Their output is kind of flawed overall, but it doesn't really stop the brothers Davies being both geniuses.

and I saw Ray Davies Storytellers on Vh1, gosh maybe 10 years ago? It was the very first one, not originally supposed to be a series but his was just so awesome that they decided to make it one. He sang all sorts of songs, Kinks songs, other songs...
There was this song I'd never heard but it was something like "Well adjusted man about town doing things so ordinarily" that was awesome. Man that was long ago so my memory is kinda fuzzy. And then after that he sang some song (I think it was from an old cigarette commercial from England) called "Hairy Fag" or "Harry Fag" and just had a great laugh. He got the whole (American) audience to sing Hairy Fag along with him. The lyrics were something about how he worked so hard at his job every day just to be able to buy a hairy fag. And then then ending was something like "and then I thank god for the life that I've led, and I light myself a hairy fag, and put myself to bed" I think that's how it ended.
That guy has a wicked sense of humor.
