Been organising my trip to america at the moment....I leave at the end of spetember...and I'm going to be doing a tour of some southern states....then I'm going to stay back in New York for a bit and then make my way to chicago where I'll be flying back to england from!

Reccomend(sp?) me places to eat/drink in...Plus, when I'm in New York and chicago I'll be wanting to watch a few bands and stuff....I'll be on my own so it's a little daunting, but I'm looking foward to it loads...plus, I may be in chicago on my birthday...and if any of you live in chicago and want to by me a birthday drink...I won't turn it down!:-p

Well, the list of places I just mentioned are part of an organised tour, so that's all taken care of....that ends in new york, so I'm going to stay back there for a week....then in my final week I'll be in chicago...but between that I have free week, where I'll stop off at a few places on my way to chicago...I'll most likely travel by greyhound, I can order my pass now this side of the world....I'm sooo glad the pound is fairly strong against the dollar....but I'm working right up until I leave.

well, cool - have fun. You'll love New Orleans. I haven't been there in forever but it's such a great town to visit. Lots of good Jazz, some of the best food I've ever had - I LOVE Cajun cooking, and just a unique atmosphere. Depechekin lives in Louisiana and Robert lives in Pensacola, Florida which is practically in Alabama anyways and Angel lives in Alabama so there are peeps down here.

As far as Texas I've never been even though my Dad has family there. I have 2 friends who live near Dallas and like it there, but I really want to go to Austin...it's sppearantly got that whole college town/live music/more artsy vibe to it. I used to date a guy who had family in San Antonio and hated the place but my parents lived in Texas before I was born due to the military and fell in love with San Antonio so I hope you have a good time.

I've been to Chicago and had a blast. Good food, nice people :) Check out a Cubs game if you can and the Art Institute is the most incredible art museum, it's fantastic. --MA

paul, you're welcome to stay, only thing is that you wouldn't be able to come and go as you please, as our building uses identity cards to allow us in, and we have to sign in guests everytime they enter. We don't care 100% if you want to stay here with us or anything, just know that you might get locked out of our building when we're not around, i.e. at classes, but we're around most the day anyway and i only have classes for a few hours in the day, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem. Will you have a working mobile while you're here?
