Ok I don't know what to say.I dont understand if you hate this about you girlfriend or if its just a whatever my girlfriend is ragging on the pumpkins sort of thing?

Do you still like your girlfriend even when she tells you she hates the Pumpkins? would she go with you to an SP concert?

Does she take you to Country and or hip hop related events?

Does she have a lot of Disney paraphenalia around the house?

You two should agree to not listen to anything in the car.

Problem solved.

i suggest you torture her. tie her up and let her listen to the entire smashing pumpkins back catalogue including every demo tape and live bootleg you own. finish the job by cutting her up with the two mellon collie discs. hide her in plastic garbage bags and dump her where boys fear to tread.

if you're a diplomat you could let her choose between showing some interest and enthusiasm for the pumpkins or the horrible death.

that way you both win. (if she chooses for the pumpkins, that is...)

One of my main criteria for dating has always been to make sure that you like the same music or at least respect each others taste in music.

But really its time to dump your girlfriend, after you bang her one last time.

Or better yet take her on a trip to Disneyland and leave her there.

Just say i gotta go to that bathroom and then just leave.

I think thats how it happened to Punky Brewster.(cept she was at the supermarket)

If you think about it, aren't there things that are far more important in a relationship than shared taste in music or other such cultural trivialities? I can't stand people that bitch about their past relationships, which were rife with blatant, glaring flaws and conflicts, but only chose to get with that person in the first place because of similar music preference. Honestly, it's probably one of the last things on my list of priorities. "My girlfriend beats me viciously, but at least we both love Neutral Milk Hotel." Grow up, retards. There is a whole world outside of your ipods.

there is more than music, but i have no patience for girls who must be tan, and have a 1000 dollar purse. they make me sick. materialism is an empty dream.

Eh...when I met Symantha back in high school, I introduced her to SP, and she really liked them...but eventually she got sick of Billy Corgan's voice, and hates it when I listen to anything involving him in her precense. I generally just compromise with her...I don't like her tastes in music, but I can deal with it because I don't want a huge fight over something as ridiculous as what is played in my car.

Never been to either, I went to Universal Studios when I was like 13 but that's it. I rememeber the Back to the Future ride was so fun, same for the 3D Alfred Hitchock's, The Birds. I swatted at the birds like swooping at my head & hit the lady next to me, no joke. The King Kong ride at the time was brand new so we waited like 3 1/2 hours in line for all of a 1 1/2 minute ride. And they were still building the Jaw's ride.....I must go back now.

Why would either of you force your music on the other one? Seems rude.

She plays Disney music? Like Phil Collins and The "it's a small world after all" song.....Sick! Run away!

the lst time i went to Florida I was 7 years old. that was 21 years ago. I bet that place has so much better stuff now its not funny.

I always wanted to go see the 3D Muppet thingy.

More stuff should be in 3D dammit.

my wife always sang the praises of disneyworld. i discounted it, thinking the place would be some glorified version of a 6-flags theme park...which i have no interrest in. we finally went to disneyworld on vacation...for a week...i was immediately converted. great place to vacation with yr significant other. all the disney employees pamper you. would vacation there every year if i could afford it.

fortunately my wife love the pumpkins & related bands almost as much as i do. however, she doesnt mind telling me how much she hates ELO.
