My favourite song is 'Into The Mystic'.
That last American Pie movie raped it, I wasn't happy.

I just started getting into Van lately too. I just bought Moondance and Astral Weeks. Astral Weeks is great because it's more intimate and it reminds alot of the music I write in some ways. Moondance is just great and solid the whole way through, and I get such a kick out of "Everyone" because I always think of the final scene of the Royal Tenenbaums when it plays at the funeral. I also love the part in Caravan where it goes "turn it up, radio, so you know, it's got soul" and so on. Gooooooooood stuff. But has anyone noticed how his voice does not match the way he looks at all? It's crazy. Like Jim Morrison or Ian Curtis.

Van recorded an awesome duet with Ray Charles on "Crazy Love" for "Genious Loves Company." The two's piano style and voices blend so well on the track. If you can get the song off iTunes I would seriously recomend it. Or you could get the whole album which is pretty freakin sweet as well.
