So is there no Jimmy Chamberlain Complex love around here? Have you guys heard the album or seen them in concert? I saw then in concert back in May, they were pretty good. Billy sings on a track on the album
The Complex are probably the best Pumpkins related band since the Pumpkins broke up, and I'm going to see them in Manchester soon. Why did you post this in the trading forum, though?

I'll probably go to Pukkelpop festival, Belgium, on Friday 19th of August.
pah, festivals! I'll be like, right it front of Jimmy in a tiny venue!! And he'll say "can ne1 play smashig pamkins?" and I'll be like "OMG D00D!! I CAN!!!" and then we'll play an inpromtu version of Geek USA!!!

Dude, I don't like festivals either. But do I have any choice? Eh?
If I'd go, I'd only go for one day, by the way. Because I'm an old cracker. Friday would be the day with JCC, Pixies, Arcade Fire and Millionaire. And then some. (www.pukkelpop.be)
If it's any consolation, I can't really play Geek USA.

Yeah it is.
A related Jimmy topic-
Did anyone else get a signed copy of Life Begins Again?

I didn't.
By the way, I had to let a store here order it. Because until now I haven't seen it in any record store here. Maybe that will change soon, since they're coming to Belgium on August 19.
It might have been easier and cheaper if I had just bought a copy off eBay, maybe even a signed copy.
I went to see them back on April 30th and bought the cd. It's good, but I wouldn't say it's fantastic. Maybe it's just because I prefer to have more vocal tracks. It would have been cool if Billy Mohler sang on more songs. "Newerwaves" is my favorite on the album. The album is better than James Iha's solo record, but I imagine drummer's would like Life Begins Again more than I do. I remember a few people expressing those sentiments, because they can related to Jimmy as a drummer.

You people aren't looking at last years tour dates on his site are you? I can't find anything about tickets on sale for this year. Where have you got these dates from?

I saw a used copy of Life Begins Again at Hastings a few weeks back. I passed it up though, it was a BMG copy, and I'm really picky about those things.

Jimmy's album I always thought of a muscian's album and thought it was the best solo album. I wished he would have done more Jazz stuff though. But I think theirs a signed copy of Life Begins Again on Ebay but I don't trust signed stuff on ebay ya know anyone could fake it.

I wish I could've seen them. I like the album and bet they were as good live as people said they were.
I really like JCC. The whole CD was really good.

An amazing album. Definitely the best of the all the Pumpkins members' solo efforts. I got a signed copy when Jimmy offered to sign the pre-orders of the album if you bought it online.

Yeah, this is true. I used to have a (let me see if i can remember this right haha, it was so obscure) Hole/Babes In Toyland split vinyl that was signed by Billy Corgan. I sold it a while back though because i just don't get the fascination with sloppy signatures, plus it was given to me, and i had a hard time figuring out why on Earth B0lly would sign it.
I really wish i could have seen the Complex though. Are they still together? I know one of the members left, but i imagine they'd be under contract or something for more albums, so i hope they haven't dissolved.
If they did though i'm hoping Jimmy will show some more jazz skills on the new record like he gave us a glimpse of in the last days of the Pumpkins and on "Mary Star of the Sea" (the song).

Jimmy has said that he will still make music with the Complex. I remember him saying he was going to put out more music this year, but I guess that is on hold now with TSP recording. I believe he'll probably end up doing it during TSP downtime.

P.S. jimmy is a little better than taylor no? !;)

I know one of the members left, but i imagine they'd be under contract or something for more albums, so i hope they haven't dissolved. The guitarist left ages ago, which Jimmy knew would be happening at some point, then they replaced him before they played the UK (August last year) with an equally great one.
Since the album wasn't terrible successful, I don't imagine the record company would be too pressing about making them do more albums. Though I suppose it depends on how successful they thought it'd be, after all they did little promotion for it and released no singles, and a lot of people seem surprised with how good it is.

depends on what sort of deal they signed with record co sanctury i suspect - when i spoke to jimmy last year at london complex show - he said that new complex and pumpkins records would BOTH happen...
i think i remember him emailing me something about what they were up to a while ago... just trying to find the mail...

hmmm - he said that he'd be doing a couple of things like the m-audio the first of four is out now - he also said he'd be doing a drum video soon - but i don't know whether that is on hold or not... but yeah he just said to me and on the complex board http://www.jimmychamberlincomplex.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=4819&highlight=#4819 [a couple of times] that the complex would DEFINATELY do another record
