i'm making a cd for my cousin in scotland. as a thank you for taking me out and stuff while i was there.
i want stuff he wouldnt really know, mostly. i only need a few more songs. i've done alright. but i'm stumped at the moment.
heres what i have so far:
alexisonfire-no transitory (really unsure of this choice)
ben kweller-debbie dont worry doll
cary brothers-blue eyes
casino-stormy weather
cowboy junkies-sweet jane(also kind of unsure of this)
gary jules-mad world
matt good-weapon(the song might change. but i need matt good on here)
postal service-such great heights
rem-all the way to reno
tal bachman-if you sleep
tragically hip-wheat kings
travis-the weight
weezer-el scorcho

half of these have a reason for being on there. memories or some sort of significance. like all the way to reno. some is canadian stuff that i want him to hear. for some reason canada exports only the shittiest bands we have. so i want to show him its not all nickelback and celine dion.
he likes a lot of 70s rock. and 90s britpop. he has a wide range of stuff he likes though. so all suggestions are welcome, unless its pure shite, in which case fuck off. :)

i'd put on strange days by MGB...as for any other canadian material, i'm going to press you to put on an i mother earth song...perhaps "used to be alright" or "earth, sky and c" ?

as for strange days, i'd rather something more...aggressive by mgb, cause i already have a lot of soft stuff on it.

You could also add "Cause=Time" by Broken Social Scene.
