View Full Version : Although my Uncle is rich...

I've realized what an arrogant asshole he is to people. He's always talking down to people (and i'm catching on) and I don't want to be that way. So in three weeks, I'm moving to Longview to live with a friend. Sounds like fun, eh?

If you ever get rich, don't do what I've done or be like my Uncle, and I know some of you won't because you're not like that. Then again, maybe I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure I'll be dead from some kind of overdose long before I can abuse my wealth, should I ever be wealthy.

Let's not start this again.

I've never understood some rich people's approach to life. Hey! I got a ton of money which I could easily live off of, and do whatever the fuck I want! Let's enter politics so I can gain power and flex my dick around! Let's gather more power & money! Bah. I think rich people like that have no inherent appreciation of life. That’s really the key.

I think the exception to the "money corrupts" adage is about 10%. No kidding, I read this somewhere, and it was somewhere respectable and credible. It seems about right.

I don't think I'll ever be rich....even if I was uber-rich, I don't think my personality would change...I'm quite aware and level-headed....

Some lady in Ireland won £70m on the euro lottery at the weekend...and the silly bint had her face plastered over the papers on sunday...now she's had to go into hiding....

She is now richer then the Beckhams!

Talk about Luck of teh Fucking Irish! Nah, good luck to her, Im glad it went to a working class woman than someone who already was cool for money. She was even struggling to get all her kids new school uniforms. awww how nice.

Some people are just born arrogant, and even if they never become rich will still be arrogant about little things like I dunno, how well behaved their kids are for example. It;s just when these people get money they become 10x gayer. Best thing to do is to ignore them or if you can;t do that rip the fucking piss out of them (oh, that means "mock" them).

I think the arrogance comes from not having to struggle to meet needs anymore. Or maybe you're mistaking confidence, self-esteem, and pride as arrogance because your jealous.

Not all rich people are the same. Some do look down on the lower classes as if they are dogs, but not all of them do.

You can't have too much money. The more you have the more you spend, the more you want. I see the sacrifices people make to have the money and I can finally say they deserve their money.

I use to be jealous and hate them and think they should give the extra to the needy instead of wasting it on needless things. But now I don't.

I believe in the American Dream. You can get what you want if you work your ass off.

I'm in no way jealous because he gives me whatever I want. The funny thing is that I've mastered his handwriting and can just go to the bank and write a check out for cash as I'm heading out. He never worked for his money, he inherited all of the land and money when his mother and father died. His father was a famous and well known cancer doctor and created a virus to find out how cancer worked. Hard to explain. Look him up online as Dr. John G. Kidd, Sr. -- Back in the 70's of course. His father won tons of medical awards and was the youngest teacher and graduate of the Cornell Medical School.

Hmm to be fair, the "American Dream" is to get rich quick and easily. Half of the shit people get super-rich on in hamerica you couldnt do in Europe, dannys uncles real estate business is a perfect example. another is gold-mining. good luck to them though, is all I say. Id come over the pond and have a crack myself if I was allowed in your country.....nah even if I was, too much effortz man! I'll be happy with a wage that supports me, my house, any family I may have and keeps me in weed.

Oh, I didn't know about the "quick and easy" aspect.

I thought it was more along the lines of "working hard to make your dream come true".

My bad.

I think you can get super rich, super quick if you have no morals.

I've noticed that too, although it applies to guys with money as well. Really, when your lifestyle doesn't involve any appreciation for the wealth around you, and you have no concept of how hard people work for it, it seems routine. Buying those $300 pair of boots to keep up with your friends who all have them tends to distort the value of money.

I went to a progressive private school, and it was interesting because there were kids from all ranges of family incomes. Some were on scholarships, others had VERY wealthy parents. Seeing that type of diversity makes you realize how the wealthy take for granted even the small comforts, and often think that it's an universal standard for everyone.
