Deftones
with special guests A Perfect Circle and Revolution Smile

I was 17 and it was a damn good show. Got to see James Iha and Twiggy rock out with APC, Deftones were amazingly energetic. Revolution Smile was kind of eh...halfway through the last song the singers guitar died so he stomped on his pedals as hard as he could, his guitar fell on the ground and then he walked to the front of the stage and layed down to sing the rest of the song like a little emo kid.

Zephyrfest '96. I think I was 14. It was a great show: 7 Mary 3, Goldfinger, The Refreshments, Dogs Eye View, The Verve Pipe, Dishwalla, Everclear. It was a glorious day of fun.

U2, 1991 or so! Must have been like 12. Anyway, it was the Love comes to town tour with BB King in the pre show. It blew me away! Then a week later or so, I saw Nirvana in Amsterdam, that one changed my life! It was just after Nevermind got out!

1989-ish i happened to be at the Texas State Fair when the Dixie Ckicks (version 1) & Steve Warriner performed....was bored so i sat & watched

first show i made plans to attend was Morrissey in dallas 'bout 1993-ish...i was 15.

funny thing about that State Fair show...before the Dixie Chicks performed, some kid about my age was on stage doing some sort of fiddle-playing exhibition. now, more than 10 years later, fiddle-boy is now a man, he's getting married soon & has asked me to ba a groomsman.

when I was around 8 some hobo on a Dublin street played a reallu nifty flute. He wanted money for crisps or something. That's the closest I've ever been to a proper concert.

Sorry, I've had this whole thing with John Darnielle that's bordering on obsession ever since I discovered Last Plane to Jakarta (http://www.lastplanetojakarta.com).

Not bad. It was a bit shorter than I expected. There were only about 50-70 people there (standing) and I managed to get a spot front and center.
