I was walking down the street today and this young girl, sixteenish looking, was shyly waving at me. I waved back and she walked up to me and said "I can't believe it's you. Here! Wait! I have something you need to sign." I was wierded out, but expecting some kind of petition or something. Instead, she pulls out a copy of The Tain EP and hands me a pen. I looked at her and said "I'm sorry. I am not Colin." She gave me one of those looks that dogs give you when they are confused and said "well you are damn hot then!"

I look nothing like Colin Meloy! We both have glasses and dress similar. That is about it.

I saw Colin chit-chatting with the Gibbardster at the last Death Cab show I went to... I talked to Colin and kissed Ben, so I can definitely say they are two separate people. HOWEVER, I have not seen Ryan in the same room as Ben or Colin, so... the jury is still out on that one.

This reminds me of a scene from the novel I wrote where one of the main characters (who looks exactly like Elliott) is at a show and this girl comes up to him and says, "Oh, I love your music!" and the guy doesn't want to let her down so he just says, "Thanks." (This took place prior to Elliott's demise, obviously.)

I'm sorry i just found this thread and it made me laugh.

Yesterday i told my roomate he looks like the guy from the show "Undeclared" and he got really mad. I wasn't trying to insult him which was the funniest part, cause he really looks like him. I told him it shouldn't be bad cause the guy is a movie star! Just thought i'd share.
