Just got their complete recordings CD yesterday.
They were awesome, in that weird 80's kinda alt-countryish mixed with Sam Coomes way.
What's even cooler is the liner notes that Sam wrote for it.
I recommend.
Anybody else have?

yep, was listening to DP back in the early 90s..kinda like prepubescent Quasi
I like them a lot
I forgot/get to tell Sam that i remembered DP cuz they prolly think i'm an Elliott freak when in fact it's always been a bout the Quasi for me...
I love Donner Party. Yeah, some of the early stuff sounds like country-ish R.E.M. stuff while they get more indie rock later. They never officially released the third album (until the complete recordings) but I think it's really good.

I'll try to get around to it. Not much time nowadays and no scanner. I would even upload a few mp3's if I had the time to do it. Time will tell? ...

I found the LP at Amoeba for 3 bucks.
Too bad I don't even have a record player. I want to buy one really soon so I can hear the dang thing! :)
