Alienation... Sweet Addy the best place to remember Elliott? Or here, where life prevails still?

Anyway, this is a thread for Quasi requests. We, the living, want more Quasi! But personally, I want to hear an album of great timbral sophistication and expense. Yes, i want an album that sounds more EXPENSIVE. I'm sorry to say it - more instruments, more ideas, more refinement (to put it one crude way). That would surely be an interesting upshot hey?

I love you quasi!

I hear you, but there's no denying how good R&B Transmog turned out. I'm seriously loving that album so much lately.

Just a clarification, when I SAY more refinement, I really don't mean for it to sound all schmaltzy and lots of nice horn parts... i hope that's not the impression i gave

you worship the future like it's some kind of saint - but it's just like the past with a new coat of paint:wizard:

hmm quasi is so brilliant, i wish they would write another album like the first 6 songs off of "featuring birds"

I guess I'm in the minority. I love the older albums, but "When the Going Gets Dark" really resonated with me, and that raw sound really works with the new stuff (especially Black Dogs and Bubbles).

Requests? I wish they'd rerecord "Once Your Hooves Are Glue" and put it on an album, and play that live. (Actually, just hearing it live would be enough, but damn that song needs more exposure.)

I agree with you about WTGGD, I think it is very developed, mature, and maintaining of that Quasi edge.

As for that song you speak of, do you have an mp3 or anything? I'd love to hear. We should be banding together to all bask in the Quasi wealth.

I have their Bowie cover for the Bowie complilation on Undercover (if anyone's interested) as well as the split 7' with Mars Accelerator/Space Pants.

Oh shit! Kill me if I am the only one that hasn't realized this for so long, but I just had a revelation:

Sword of God = Sort of God

Eh?? Say it out loud, it's the same.
