Moe, sorry for not answering for ages.

500gb for around 50quid.
USB2, no e-sata, I doubt your machine supports e-sata anyway.
I bought one a few months ago and it seems very reliable and surprisingly fast.
It is reasonably quiet too.

In now a days, you can get very different types of external hard disk. You can get external hard disk as per your storage space requirement and then you can select external hard disk.
