Elliott on 'pirated' live concerts

I read somewhere, but forget where, that Elliott was OK with people recording and distributing his live concerts. Do you happen to know where I would have read that?

Thank you for your help. Since I want to include the quote in a scholarly article, do you happen to know in what circumstances it was given, e.g. can I reference a particular interview with a particualr magazine?
