what are you supposed to do when you get so bored you think life is meaningless to shift through the same day-to-day routine every single day?
ideas? i can't stand it anymore. boredom wins i guess...

I know what you mean... I'm just waiting for something good to happen. Maybe make something good happen.

mid-life crisis?
move to Argentina?
quit your job and work as a guard in a prison?
the line is "born in a role..." by the way. Maybe you adapted it for your circumstances though.

i swore it was bored, even SA has it posted as:
can't make a sound
i have become a silent movie
the hero killed the clown
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
nobody knows what he's doing
still hanging around
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
the slow motion moves me
the monologue means nothing to me
bored in the role, but he can't stop
standing up to sit back down
or lose the one thing found
spinning the world like a toy top
til there's a ghost in every town
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
can't make a sound
eyes locked and shining
can't you tell me what's happening?
why should you want any other when you're a world within a world?
why should you want any other when you're a world within a world?
why should you want any other when you're a world within a world?
why should you want any other when you're a world within a world?
but anyway, not that that matters. yeah i dunno what to do, it's insane...i'm still very young (19) but my life seems too repetitive and boring to cope with.

Of course you're bored sitting around "waiting".
No wonder nothing is happening, you think
a good time is just gonna drop in your lap?

out of all the suggestions
doing shit for the hell of it is the best way
get a job at someplace you never thought youd work
start thinking in the moment rather than long term
i dunno when i'll ever get time to get bored :oh::\:oh:

How you end the boredom:
DO SOMETHING!
Seriously. I haven't felt bored since freshman year of college, so it's been about 5 years now. Maybe I'm lucky, I haven't been forced into a strict routine yet... I've had strict weekly schedules but there's always time in between to do things or anticipate major upcoming events.
You're only bored if you let yourself be so. Buy a plane ticket out of the country. Go on a road trip. Get a new job. Go back to school. Move to a new place. Find new hobbies. Read interesting books. Play interesting video games. Get out and meet people. If you can't do some of those, make plans for the future. All that costs is a little time and thoughts. My roommate works at the same low-paying, monotnous job nearly 7 days per week at the same time each day. She says it's what she does with the little bit of time she's not working that keeps her out of boredom's death grip (and let me add, she doesn't sleep often).

ALSO.. let me reiterate.. DO THINGS!! Do things even if you don't think you'll like them. You might surprise yourself.

you could crochet... my old roommate took that up and she was doing it all the time. she'd get so into it.. (you know those people when they're watching TV you can talk to them and they dont show any sign they heard you, because they are so engrossed in the TV?). or you could try to crochet on a rollercoaster, while trying to read the instructions cause it's your first time. people will look at you funny, but just say you're trying to make life more interesting.
find some activities going on in your neighborhood. there's always people doing stuff, some community colleges have real cheap classes that you wouldnt normally think of. they're not 'real classes', just kind of 'here is how you do this' sort of thing. they're like 50$. you could also take up jogging. if you do it around your neighborhood instead of at a treadmill. i find it kind of nice to break out of the scenery of the home, and jogging is kind of liberating when you get good at it (atleast for me, i start thinking.. "wow! I could run everywhere! I dont need a vehicle at all!)
go on a nature hike.. find some trails around you, the more mountainous the better cause you'll get worn out and will be too tired to be bored when you get home. you just might see some cute little deer too.
start a reading list, start some sort of mental activity.. study something, make your mind work so you're not so anxious to find something to do to stimulate yourself.

if you dont like to use energy and do stuff OUTSIDE i guess you could just rent some video games if you have a game console of some sort.
i think when you're REALLY bored, watching tv and being on the computer are bad things, unless it's a really amazing show, or a really interesting game. because they seem to compound my boredom. so i go find something else to do.

I agree with what has been said in this thread already. I feel you on boredom, except I'm a little young to start acting on all the different ways I could cope with it.
Take small steps if you're scared. Make a goal to learn about quantum physics. Start off with a book about that light particle test (if you research quantum, you'll find out about this, that is of course fi you don't already know. I myself am very ignorant about it), or how the Roman Empire came to fall. You never know, you might end up inventing a time machine. Who knows?
If that's not your thing, start rock-climbing or surfing or some sort of heavy sport.
I suppose it's not easy to start off doing all of this stuff when you're so used to doing the same dman thing over and over again, that's why I think you should start off small. Start reading a book and you might end up writing one.
I don't know who you are or what you're interests are. So sorry if this totally didn't help or anything. But I think you got the picture and idea I was trying to portray, however useful or useless it might be.
