i can't see anything and it saddens me greatly.

right.

so i was in my first block class (English) this morning and i decided to clean my glasses off. with my sweatshirt. bad move, i suppose, because they broke at the bridge.

the good: i got to come home early and will soon go off on the quest to find new frames and lenses (which will, unfortunately, cost a good chunk of change).

the bad: i am legally blind in my right eye and almost completely blind in my left. shit. i can't find the random thread (or at least one of many)! the forum looks like a giant blob of colors... and i don't feel like positioning my face one inch away from the screen.

(thankfully i can type relatively well without looking at the keyboard)

:\

it was suggested but I decided that I might as well go ahead and buy new ones.... those frames were about 2 years old

Have you always had poor vision, Molly? I'm just curious. Mine is just starting to go to hell.

yes. i was born three months premature and spent the majority of my first several months in a clear, oxygenated box so my lungs could develop. my vision is terrible. i was wearing contacts at nine months. and had a lens transplant in my left eye at 8 months (that eye "works", but the impairment cannot be corrected)

that's very kind of you, baz.

in other news: i got new glasses (+ a spare just in case this happens again)! i can seeeee again. also, i have realized how valuable my good eye is. it sucks not being able to do anything that involves reading/writing/watching, aka pretty much everything save for listening to music, which I did.

Did you listen to Sufjan?!

I was gonna say aswell that I was actually born prematurely and had to pend time in one of those oxy box's! under a UV light too, cos I was slightly jaundice! and my vision is shitty also!

:O (from waaay back at the beginning, but)

once...one of the lense fell out of my glasses and got lost in the snow of this huge sledding hill! Somehow i managed to find it though, and still not get run over by the kamikazes zooming by on their big donut thingies :)
