my infinitely favorite way to listen to music is to go into my/a car late at night (like midnight or later), put the seat back, and turn up the volume.
i did this a couple nights ago with In Rainbows, it was great!
i love how the whole car just become this chamber of music, you can feel it all around you.
so how do you guys prefer to listen to music?

On vinyl, headphones hooked into the record player, laying across my bed, staring at the artwork.

I sit at my computer for a few hours, with headphones, drinking coffee, early in the morning (weekends only). During the week I listen to music quietly on my work laptop.
I'm also trying to listen to music on my iPod when I'm on the train to pass time but I want to be aware when there are creepy people behind me who are trying to touch my hair. D:

While I mostly listen on my computer, through my craptacular speakers, the funnest way is on a car stereo, loud, while moving over a long, distractionless stretch of highway.

Grado SR 90's - no other sensory distractions
or on Wharfdale Diamond 8.3 speakers, EQ'd with a ton of bass and treble - loud

my headphones are covered in dried clay, and i love it.
My favourite would be listening to it on good quality speakers.
Which I don't have, so I guess an alternative would be on decent quality headphones.
My dad loves the "car chamber" listening style.

when I travel or work... as a photographer I allways had the music playing in the background, and I use the musics feeling in the photographs (every photo or illustration I make could count as fanart!). I constantly wear my iPod.
(sometimes, or always, I put my feelings to the portriat. I killes me, give almost nameless singers(songswriters) names when then dont deserve it... I don't know. I not just to happy to be an swedish critic. I juust need the money)

I do really love listening to music at night in my car. Of course, the fact that my car's stereo is broken complicates that. Regardless... my favorite part of roadtrips is always listening to music that fits the mood of wherever I'm driving through... Listening to The Church late at night while driving through the desert is pure heaven!
I also like just zoning out on my bed and listening to music. I don't like headphones though, and especially not ear buds (ew)... having something in my ear just distracts me. I'm not really even that picky about speakers... the stereo I have is fairly primitive, with built in speakers about 6 inches apart from each other. I'm not really picky about the quality of the speakers/stereo I listen to, as long as there's not too much bass. I just like the sound and *feeling* of the music completely filling up the entire room (much like in a car).
I listen semi-loud (enough to drown out background noise), but not really loud... pets have better hearing, so I always tone it down a bit more than I'd like.

Add this to mine. Though whatever I'm on will inevitably influence the choice of music.
