Well the name Blamo (a buzz word we remembered from Ren and Stimpy, in the Log video, we just removed the extra "M" for simplicity) was originally thought up for Blamo! Entertainment (basically the blamo.org site, a they might be giants site, a fonts site, a star wars site etc) There were 5 of us guys from high school working on it. The first site was blamo.simplenet.com. After I graduated from high school 3 of the 5 dropped out of the project leaving me and josh (www.hillhaus.com) to work on the site. The RIAA in 1997 put the smackdown on both Josh and I for hosting mp3s. After that Josh pretty much wasn't interested in music web sites because of the RIAA's actions. This left me with Blamo, in 1999 I wanted more flexibility with coding, so I got a better hosting plan and purchased blamo.org this is actually where the first version of these boards came around. Bandwidth was a bitch, so I purchased blamonetwork.com for hosting media and images. In 2000 bandwidth was still too much so I purchased blamonet.com for hosting the boards on another host, the load on this was so bad in the early days people keep kicking me off their servers because I was using too much of the CPU. :) So in 2001, myself and a bunch of other members pooled our money together to purchase the web server at rackshack. And the rest is history. :nerd:

Keep up the good work!
oh,and if theres any chance in the future of you re-enabling html for paying members(for embedding youtubes etc) it'd be much appreciated ;) if its possible, that is.

I've added youtube back in as a new tag, or you can use the youtube button when replying to thread or creating a new thread.

thats neat to hear the history of blamo. im really just posting because it said 'hot xxx movies' or something as the last thread in this forum. even though it got deleted i still see the title and i want it to go away. so now this thread will be the last one active!
