i think it would drive a lot of nitwits to the places where i never noticed them before. if they all go to the sp board, i'd be ok with that, because i have given up on that place. god, it's such a shithole.

Well actually in the past we had more boards (i.e. for smashing pumpkins, we had a board for each member). When we removed the boards it actually decreased the amount of traffic the site got and we lost probably 30-40 users that used the site daily. So this is why I'm generally not in favor of adding a lot of extra boards, but also not in favor of removing existing boards unless they get no traffic at all.
