Although I love them all, the one I listen to the most is 1998 @ the Black Cat in Washington, DC. He was on fire that night...the Southern Belle really shows how amazing he was on guitar, and the encore of No Name no. 3 was great!

I like the Paris 2000 La Cigale show the best, I'd say. I also have another one from Princeton that is quite nice. And the Neal House show is superb. Can't make up my mind.

oooooh i was at the la cigale show!! if my memory serves me right there was a great acoustic version of fond farewell near the end. but my fave elliott show was early that year at ULU london, as with a previous post southern belle left everyone mesmorized (sp?) but the stand out song for me was the last one he played "still here if you want me" i've forgotten its real name but i think its on new moon, it was sang so well and so fragile i don't think there was a dry pair of eyes in the place.

Wow, that sounds incredible. I can't imagine being at the La Cigale show. The Jealoous Guy cover kills me, so beautiful.

i got the bumbershoot show from a member on the sweetaddy board. theyre easy to find for downloading on the various elliott bootleg sites, at the time, i was unable to download so some people on here offered to burn some of the shows for me and send them to me, but if you look on sweetadeline.net theres a link to elliottsmithbootlegs and im sure its there, the september 2, 2000 seattle bumbershoot festival. theres also the internetarchives

Also, the show is soundboard quality. Elliott plays an awesome Care of Cell 44 too!

31st January 2003, Henry Ford Theatre. He was definitely in bad shape at the time, but the emotion is incredible. Plenty of the songs from that set bring me almost to tears.
