View Full Version : help for a young fan {not me but a friend}
Well ok so I converted a young french friend to Elliott :pimp:
she plays guitar and wanted to find some good websites with some good tabs.
the only websites that i find have only a maximum of 4 tabs .. and not the songs that she wants i suppose

I was just about to post that. ;)
There are also a bunch of tabs at the Sweet Adeline main page. Just click on the "Music" tab at the top of the page, and then click "tablature" on the side menu.
EDIT: GOD DAMN YOU ALL FOR TAKING MY IDEAS!!!! ;)

Yeah, any Elliott songs i want to learn i take from Sweet Addy (actually, there's a really good version of Coast to Coast on Ultimate Guitar that isn't up here, but basically, yeah...)
aren't elliott songs seriously goddamn hard to learn on guitar?
if I thouht I could ever manage to learn even three of his songs, I'd buy a guitar. as it is, I'll stick to listening.
bled white is easy ... i learned it fast..
well thank you guys !

some are easy, some are hard. some i can play, some i can play well, and some i cant decipher yet.
nothing is impossible though.

well, it depends what you think is hard...i've been playing for 3 1/2 years; Angeles and Southern Belle are like everyday songs for me.
but some Elliott songs aren't too hard ex: Needle in the Hay, Say yes, No Name #1,etc.
so basicly, practice a ton and nothing will be hard :)

The majority of them are pretty easy, I think. That said, I have a habit of forgetting to practice songs I learn and end up forgetting how to play them anyway.
I know how to play these Elliott songs all the way through, solos and all...
Alameda
Bottle Up & Explode
Say Yes
Twilight
Waltz #2
I suppose I'll try adding some more to that list over Christmas break.

I still can't get the fingerpicking to sound right on "Angeles". :darn:
If your friend is just learning guitar, get her to learn barre chords. It's important.
