Last night, Quasi played for about 45 minutes at the El Rey theater in Los Angeles. It was my first time seeing them and I was really pleased. The songs I recognized were: All The Same, I Never Want to See You Again, Poisoned Well, and Sea Shanty. The vocals could have been louder and less distortion on the rocksichord would have made the melodies stand out better. Overall though, a great show.

And…I met Janet's mom! She's a really nice woman and was standing next to me during the performance, watching her daughter bring the house down.

I just wish they would have played all night.

That's Cool! They do suffer sometimes from sound issues but it's the/that danger element i love about them, messy sound, broken strings etc, they rule, when you get to see them on their own terms you'll be more than happy!
you should go up to Portland and catch them at Dante's on Nov 15th, it's only $5!!

you're quite lucky, thats great to hear about Janet's mom. Janet has become an idol for me, i can't wait to see them play here in new york, i've been waiting a year, i hope they come soon.

Congratulations on seeing them!
