View Full Version : I want to keep coming here, but

it's been awful. I keep just sticking to the threads I care about, but then some new jerk gave me my first neg rep ever. I was surprised how insulted I was. Elliott's been dead a long time. that too makes it hard to keep coming here.
and I've been falling in love with the music of will oldham. and he's alive. I don't know why this makes such a difference because I love nick drake and he's been dead a long time..
I feel weird. I know I've got friends here, and I know I want to stay, but I'm feeling sad.
I need to just find a few threads and just stick to those.
missing elliott sure doesn't seem to matter anymore, the new people who join just get me feeling sadder and older...

it's Ok glenn, I'm sorry I got so sad. my husband's been out of town and I feel a little sensitive. I took you off my ignore list, but I did decide to stay away from that chiba thread. so, peace between us OK?

and today, but I do appreciate some of the messages I've gotten from some nice people.
so thank you. I didn't mean to seem dramatic, but I have a flair for that unfortunately :darn:
and must talk with the doctor about all this crying because it's just not natural....

Don't worry about being sad.
Everybody here was rather down these last days, and i don't think you were being over the top as what i did wasn't very nice.
I'm glad that your friends here showed you they cared:)
take care!

thanks. :)
hang in there, girl  the youngin's here need a few of us old fogeys to show em the ropes ( and you are clearly respected here, im practically invisible, or was until recent events, so im not trying to lump myself in with you in any sense other than the whole "feeling old" part ). take a break if you have to - i think we all do sometimes - but all things considered, the sweet people here are worth whatever negligible shit you get imho.
i hope you didnt take anything i said in the chiba thread as an insult or an attack; i explained why i might sound like im siding in a post there, but mostly im just trying to consider the legal issues involved and be as fair as i can not knowing the people involved personally or all the details. im sure you know from reading whatever ive posted that im coming from an odd place here. if anything im saying concerns or bugs you please pm me so we can talk about it. im just trying to get all the facts, ma'am ... definitely not trying to drive you (or anyone else) off the board. :(

Pokey this has been a difficult few days for all of us. And some people use the neg rep button out of their own hypersensitivity.
I hope you stay. You always add a lot.

thanks :) I was having a very bad weekend emotionally and a new person to me gave me some neg rep that he then felt was ill conceived. he didn't know me, I did not know him, he was drunk and then I got upset and cried a lot. He has since apologized several times, so there is no ill will at all left in either of us.
thanks

not really...in the extent that popular demand allows someone to become the target of ridicule...

hi. I haven't been coming here lately. for no real reason. If someone had been making fun at my expense I probably would not have even noticed, so it's not that. what it is, is that I spend all my time working and I do not have a cubicle job that allows me to stay on the site all day.
to anyone who might subscribe to this thread I say hello! everything is OK around here if you don't think about how expensive everything has become and how much less the dollar can really buy.
I said welcome back to the brew, a very good one around here. I still love many of you in your you that is the you HERE.
ok, I'm checking the lead page with all the threads since I'm here... my friend in paris hasn't written me back so I've got some time before I go back to work...

heck yes! when it's running well, that is, my job with the local district plus say 2 tutoring clients, then I feel free even though I work almost every day of the week. tutoring takes an hour only, and pays well, so it sounds like I have no free time, but I have more that the usual worker.
so yes, I am more  than :monday:
