Ripping sound from a DVD

I want to rip a clip from a DVD to use as a ringtone. Anybody recommend any programmes to do so.

Goldwave.
Just rip the DVD to a VOB file or whatever, and then drag and drop that into Goldwave. You can edit which clip(s) you want out of it easily.

I'd recommend better, but that's just the easiest (and most free) way of doing it that won't eat up so many resources.

Audacity!

Just play the DVD on your comp, and record (stereo) in Audacity. I dont know how good your phone is but encode it at a lower bitrate that sounds good and does not cause your ringtone to be delayed.
