View Full Version : budget london accommodation?!
if there is such a thing! well living in the area means i've never had to look for a place to stay as a touristy person. but i've some friends coming over from sf in less than 2 wks + well queens generally are poor people (wigs, make up and clothes can be pretty expensive!)...
anyone here who has stayed in london: where would you recommend?
thankyoo!

i can recommend the Millenium Hostel opposite Kensal Green. Its rooms overlook a vast necropolis, and with the window down the low hanging fog drifts gently towards you - beckoning you - towards the grave. Lovely people too.

What aboiut The Generator which is a back packer place near Euston? I have used it as gig accommodation in the past and I think its fine.

could stay in Farnham or something. It's about 45 minutes away, but i think it's way cheaper

are they wanting a hostel or a hotel?
well a private single room would be preferable i think, she'll have lots of luggage.
ouch at farnham, i wouldn't inflict that town (or any surrey town) on anyone (nor the long expensive journey to + from waterpoo station)! best friend/wife charlotte is from there it's so posh + quiet. okay to visit once in a while i suppose.
this is difficult :(

well, again, let me recommend the Millenium Hostel for budget staying in the NW London - (necropolis towers - city of the damned - night of the living dead??) - it's a hoot, trust me, and you're only minutes away from the heart of Harlesdon - a truly vibrant (read: guncrime) enclave of London....
