I entered a contest with a short story of mine (http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Fantasy%20Paradox/101229/) and i was among winners and im being put in the GlassFire Anthology. It's getting published in an anthology of short stories, and im pretty sure glassfire is a magazine of sorts. i'm getting paid 13 dollars, and they're taking First North American Serial Rights which are minimal and temporary.

i dont know im really excited about it.

and i know 13 bucks isnt a big deal. they do one cent a word and im fairly sure they round. theres no way its exactly 1300 words.

dunno. she was skinnier and had lighter hair. she played guitar and keyboards and sometimes a tamborine. the van was nice though. comfortable old mattress and an ok stereo. if she ever does a show in detroit, i'll try and spend more time in her van and get pictures for once.

every time I got published in highschool and college it was for work that I hated. as long as you're actually proud of whatever you did, this is a real victory for you.

hell, thirteen bucks for something you hated isn't bad at all, unless you spent a lot of time on it.

well its not like they're buying the rights to the work forever. the rules state i can't sell/submit it to any publishing company again until after the book is published. after the book is published they have no holds on it at all.
