Sound Of The Summer.

Right, I'm off to a festival next weekend and want to make a comp full of songs that just scream the word 'SUMMER' at you. Mainly due to the fact that, this being Scotland, it will probably pour of rain all weekend. At least I can stick the CD on and pretend it's Summer......

I need help, as my collection is not well known for featuring such music as I'm notorious for being a bit of a miserable sod.

Any ideas appreciated.

Anything by Camera Obscura or Belle and Sebastian would work really well.

Lastly, the first Blind Melon album has some really summery tunes IMO.

i love camera obscura and belle and sebastian...
BUT
not just any song of theirs will do.
they have some mighty sad/depressing songs that just will pull you into scottish winter!
choose wisely!

my initial votes are for two gorky's zygotic mynci songs (well one is a cover they do):
this summer's been good from the start
fresher than the sweetness in water
