Obviously no one can replicate or emulate an artist such as Elliot, but in terms of song writing craftsmanship together with outstanding melody this guy can write a good tune! Not meaning to replicate but Elliot's influence in his work is strong. Do you agree?

There is a clear influence, and i like it;
but i wouldnt call him the next Elliot(t). Definitely a different style (and someone said it before, but that Follow My Shadow song sounds VERY Nick Drake-ish)

well he sounds influenced by elliott... (the song that came on automatically for me is pirouette... the only one i've heard so far... very like elliott)
and his music sounds nice...
but the next elliott??

I'm trying to figure out why your trying to promote your own work pretending your someone else.
I absolutely don't agree, maybe if you'd come here on different terms I would've given you the time of day, but you came to an elliott smith board and claimed to replace elliott on your first post
AND YOU SPELT ELLIOTT WRONG
but if its the way you want to play it and you want to pretend that you aren't just shamelessly promoting your music like this, then this artists (who apparantly isn't you) makes my ears bleed.
Have a nice day

People who create an account on a message board community only to self-promote are bad enough, but when you can't even get Elliott's name right, piss off. :guns:

It always makes me feel icky when people emulate elliott that much.

Sorry for the typo guys, I always do it for some reason as I seem to be worse at spellinz as the years roll on: ) didn’t mean to pi** anyone off. Interesting thoughts though. Yeah I can also see a massive nick drake influence in there. Good pointer.

if it is him, it is in very bad taste and i shall leave the thread for fear of saying something i'd regret to someone i've never met
