Neutral Milk hotel is awesome :(

but no Elliott.

Lists of 100 are always jumbled up and weird because even the people making them can't keep track of em all and which ones they like better, etc. I say why bother? (Well, because we as human beings are naturally attracted to big shiny "the best" lists)

The only list that matters is the one in my head!

lies and slander!

but i'll let it slide because you have an evangelion picture in your signature. :D

i only looked at the last page (top 10) but it seemed like quite a decent list.

It doesn't really matter.. to my knowledge there isn't a scientific method by which to figure out the best singles of the 90s... or whenever. It's just this guys personal list... personal, flawed, confusing list. haha

i hate lists like that. radiohead taking #1 and 2? crap. paranoid android was decent at best. oasis shouldn't be on there. the jeff buckley was refreshing. i usually stray from reading lists like that, it never works out. i wonder why theyre still going strong. (looks back to heyethan's comment about big shiny best lists) (understands why theyre still going strong)

I've not actually ever seen evangelion, that in my sig is from elfen lied and in my avatar is from death note, I'll make my way round to evangelion eventually.

This list is actually pretty familiar, is it pitchfolks that did a top albums of the 90s or something and I seem to remember bands being around similar rankings. Thats where I first heard of neutral milk hotel, I think it won that one.

I guess most people on this board don't have human ears then.

"Miss Misery" captured Elliott in his most uncompromised of moments, and when the world remembers him hopefully they picture the boy inside the man, onstage with a thrift store guitar, strumming for all to see the comfort and the sadness in pain.

probably the best quote i've read about him. gg treble

wait. I thought this was a real list (sales or something)

Hell, I can make a one too but why waste internet space on yet another opinionated list.

I'm happy with the radiohead 1-2 finish.

"Just" was rated way too low. I'd put it above all other Radiohead singles, except that I can understand listing "Paranoid Android" number one.

I don't really understand what this list is based on at all... 100 singles from the 90s that we liked, ranked in some random, arbitrary order?
Um... go Elliott? That really is an honor, truly.

only 5??All his records were in the 90's..... I personally consider him to be on a par with anyone in terms of songwriting, and the massive majpority of his work was released in this ten year span. I'd have atleast 15.

100 singles from the 90s .
