ok, i just don't have the words to convey how disappointed i am with this career move. i love me some old punk afi, i even allowed for some decemberunderground to pass through, but this just cannot happen. has anyone heard any of their songs? does anyone even know who i am talking about? [hopefully, if not, afi's side project with davey and jade, some electronic synthed up duet love escapade]
i will still probably get the album but the two songs i heard were just.... man,

I was just talking about this with my friend as we walked past a Hot Topic store in the mall.
I tried liking Decemberunderground, but couldn't quite bring myself to it. AFI seems to be heading for a downward spiral, and I think BA is a contributing factor. What happened to those amazing lyrics? Traded in for dance beats and vocal effects.
That being said, I too will probably still buy it.

Everything AFI did up to Sing The Sorrow was just SO good.
Then decemberunderground was mediocre at best.
But this side project, I haven't heard! They were on the cover of this month's AP, no?
I'm intrigued. But I'll be cautious of your warnings!

Agreed on both points! And yes, they are on half of the September AP mag covers. I believe The Almost has the other half of copies.

I know, it really does seem that way. I don't understand how someone can regress from lyrics like those of, say, God Called in Sick Today, to something like Love Like Winter. It just doesn't add up to me.
