I have such odd problems. Anyway, when I press CTRL. ATL DEL. to bring up the task manager, the header of the window is entirely cutoff. In other words, all that displays are the programs I'm running. I attached a screen shot of it.

What the fuck could cause this? It's such a bizarre problem. I'm fairly good with computers, but somehow, strange stuff keeps happening.

Might help if I attached the picture. There goes the "I'm good with computers".

You sir, deserve a prize.

I'm not actually having any other problems at the moment. It just seems like there is one thing after the other.

Switch to Vista.

It doesn't do things like that. :P

My computer would explode if I tried.

Not much point in installing something that performs worse than XP, is there?

Only if you have sucky hardware.

Shit, my mothers laptop has shitty onboard video and it runs vista REALLY well with only a gig of ram. (Like, as in it doesn't slow down, has never locked up or crashed, and can run an assload of different applications at one time)

(It probably helps that it has Intel Core2Duo)

Whatever. My computer scores 5.9 on the test thing vista does, but I still wouldn't use it because of game, application and driver performance.

Btw, does aero do anything apart from do that window tab switch thing?

Nvidia has recently pulled their head out of their ass and released drivers that don't suck. If you use ATI you're still bonned, though.

Aero makes everything pretty. :/

I think it also forces hardware acceleration on the desktop. (Which makes the desktop environment run alot smoother) but I can't be sure if that only goes on when Aero is on, or if it's like a Vista native thing.

I've never turned Aero off because it is so easy on the eyes.
