Nak needs a new printer

I need something that can:

Print ok photos/pictures.
Last a while.
Good line quality for diagrams etc.

I would like something that can:
Print A3 sheets.
Scan.

My budget would be £150 max.

we bought a new laser printer recently for ~US$100 but it's A4 max and only black and white.

My printers and scanner back in Sydney are all Canon.

Right now my photo printer is an Epson and I wouldn't recommend it. It drinks ink and the quality has gone way down hill since I first got it. My scanner and desk jet are HPs and so far so good with those. :D
