I really like jasmine tea, but it gives me a stomach ache and makes me feel bloated. Is this because it's something healthy that's attacking my gut from hell? Does anyone else get this if they have a couple of cups of the stuff?
I have a friend who can't drink tea or coffee at all cos it wreaks havoc with his stomach.

I'm fine with black tea, it's just the green stuff that sometimes makes me feel shifty. I'm usually ok with coffee, though sometimes it makes me feel a bit ill... so I have to judge when it's alright to have one or not.

Actually, I noticed that Jasmine tea cuts me up a little bit, too. Maybe it's a slight allergy or something?
I puked a few weeks ago actually after having a big cup of green tea on an empty stomach. That's never happened to me with black tea before. I prefer the taste of green but it is harder on me.

for awhile coffee was bothering my stomach. It's grown used to it again though, which is good because finals are coming up.

the point is you notice it makes you feel ill.
there's plenty of things to drink so skip it.

Has anyone gotten a chance to try either Fuze Green Tea or Fuze White Tea (the latter is my favourite)? Probably the best green/white teas I've ever had. Tazo's green tea is quite good too. No disgusting aftertaste.

I really like Arizona's blueberry green tea.

Are you sure you're not talking about the blueberry *white* tea? I've never heard of that which you are speaking.

I just bought some Assam for work. Though it will be my private stash since everyone else favours incredibly weak, shite tea. I just bought some lapsang souchong too, I haven't had it in years. Fun!
And I will continue to drink green tea! It makes me feel ill cos it's helping me! Mais non?
My friend that now can't drink tea or coffee said he basically killed his stomach by drinking too much green tea at some point in his life. So if it hurts you to drink it I probably would ingest it sparingly.

I can't drink black or green tea anymore. :\ I have a really good tin of pomegrante black tea and it tastes great but after a few minutes my stomach hurts.
Lately though I've been addicted to loose peppermint and Good Earth organic sweet citrus white tea.

Theanine is a major alkaloid found in green tea, but not in black tea. You could be allergic to it.
To ask though, was it jasmine white/green tea or just jasmine tea?

God I hate herbal tea.
I have the same thing. It is so disgusting. I have never drunk one without throwing up.

At work, they have a load of Vietnamese tea...some lotus...some jasmine...the lotus one is ace, the jasmine one is less ace, but still good for the odd cup
