So I bought the new Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II just under a week ago and in almost no time I finished the tour on easy and on medium. I'm not claiming that this is a great achievement, but goddamnit if I'm not addicted, now! All day in class I either have a song from the game stuck in my head, accompanied by the image of flying dots and subtle air guitar-twitching, or I start mentally playing another favorite song and creating notes for it. All the rock culture references amuse me endlessly--especially the Spinal Tap stuff. Surely there is a way I can play Cherub Rock in GH II.
Please, reflect on your obsession over GH II--either past or present. Also, share a few songs that you wish would be included in the game.

if it was part of a video game like this, then yeah... maybe. But I have tried the guitar. It's nothing like this. So I'm gonna assume you don't have anything else to contribute to the thread?

Of course the game sucks compared to a real guitar. It is a damn easy game for most part. It isnt worth playing anything other than expert. I completed both games within a few attempts. It is great fun but the novelty wears off quickly. It isnt a game you spend hours and hours playing.

Oh and you can make your own song on the PS2. There are many vids on YouTube of people playing songs where they have done just that. You just need the right software and a hell of a lot of patience. Google is your friend
