I know this will probably only end up with Will, Euan and me, but hey.

What has everyone's thoughts been so far?

I'm sad to say I haven't seen much. Scotland had their usual tournament form - atrocious. The Ireland - Zimbabwe game was really exciting. Can see Australia easily walking it. England have no chance even with Pedalo Flintoff.

I have Sky Sports in my room and so have seen a lot.
England are woeful, just woeful. No game plan, bits and pieces players. Everyone seems clueless.

Oh and Shane Bond = awesome.

There's no coverage at all here (save pay per view) so I've just been subsisting on scorecards.

Australia look really good and so do Sri Lanka with Jayasuriya firing. South Africa haven't quite got all the bases covered to go all the way unless all their veterans fire in the final rounds. New Zealand are (still) the dark horse as always and Windies are predictably the local disappointment. England are barely even on my radar... they are better than Bangladesh altho sometimes the Banglas seem to have more spirit.

I hope Ireland give South Africa a run for their money.

India and Pakistan both out in the first round certainly made it interesting. Feel a bit sorry for all those fans that shelled out megabucks to fly over.

Wish I could see it on TV. Even though I wouldn't know what was going on. But cricket is still fun to watch.

It is hard to pick up the rules in cricket. But hey, we are the oracles. If there is anything you do not understand about the game, then just ask.

You have to remember what Stephen Fleming referred to NZ as.

"We're not the dark horses, we're more like tan horses".

He's an awesome captain.

Not as awesome as Ireland. They never give up. Why does Graeme Smith always look grumpy?

I think Smith is the best captain.

He isn't the most reliable for form though. Jonty Rhodes is the SA fielding coach.

I like how NZ admitted they'd rather overlook Test form for ODI.

I dunno. He is getting back to himself. I don't think there is a better palyer of the new ball around.

England held their own for a bit today but the disintegration was sadly inevitable.

Smith is a great player, tho I rate Fleming the better captain because NZ don't have the same calibre players as SA.

SA losing to Bangladesh! Who woulda thunk it? Bangladesh are doing a bit of a 1996 Sri Lanka.

Yeah I was watching. I thought they'd get gubbed about halfway through their innings. Ashraful looks like an incredible prospect.

Yeah, a fantastic result. A great all-round performance from a very young team. It is great to see a smaller nation really on the up.

..and that is coming from an Aussie!

I'm biased because I didn't watch any of it, but going by scorecards and the sheer length of the tournament (and the Woolmer murder) I would have to heartily agree.

I was actually tempted to go to see a game esp since I don't get to see any cricket anymore and McGrath was retiring and the venues weren't -that- far from where I live now but I'm glad I didn't!

The farce surrounding the final was insane. Finishing the game in virtual darkness? Dear fucking lord.

Not enough close games. Powerplays are silly and over-complicate matters. At least we got to watch Malinga.

Yeah I saw some of the pictures online. What a joke.
