You like making new threads, don't you? Could you say it's your passion?
Seriously, I won't hold it against you. Some people like to collect stamps, some like to build models, some even like to kill women with pretty feet or shoot at presidents - and then, some like to start new threads about their love of chocolate pudding. Clearly, you've found your calling.

I like to put chocolate pudding in a pie crust and then put whipped cream on top of it with chocolate shavings. Chocolate pudding pie is delicious, especially in the summer.

one of my pet peeves is when people say things like "I'm just really passionate about _________________." to me when someone says they're passionate about something, it makes them seem really cheese-ballish to me. Like, fake n'shit.

Bread pudding is pudding though?!>h :(
This reminds me of the time I spent 10 minutes reading the wikipedia article on pudding. Having grown up in a family that hardly eats desserts of any kind whatsoever, the first time I had pudding was xmas pudding at an (Anglo) Australian family friend's house and I was confused because I'd assumed from previous contextual interpretations that it was custard like.
It's worth a read anyway.

I like to take a bite of pudding and then squish it between my teeth repeatedly until it turns to liquid again. Ted said that he does the exact same thing. Is this common?

I gather, from the reactions of horror and disgust I've gotten in the past from bystanders - I do indeed do it all the time, and with Jell-O, too, and sometimes carbonated beverages - that most people don't much like the between-tooth liquidization of pudding and such snacks. Tough titties for them.

sorry if this has been posted (i skipped to the last page), but what is it with the english calling non pudding things pudding?
thinking yorkshire pudding and such (which i'm quite fond of).

Or basically calling any sort of dessert pudding. I don't get it either. I love yorkshire pudding!
Lothlorien
04-05-2007, 11:44 PM
The English were calling it pudding long before we North Americans were calling our version "pudding". So the better question is, why aren't we calling other deserts pudding? Why is our definition limited to only a few gelatinous goops like the stuff made from Jello mix and tapioca?

The best Yorkshire puddings are the ones that fill the plate. Then you spoon beef, or lamb with the gravy into the middle of it. My Dad makes weeYorkshire puddings. NICE.
