I'm in the market for a laptop (nak here)

I'm considering buying one while I'm in the states.

My budget is $1100 or so.

I want:
Dedicated graphics.
Preferably AMD proc. (it's an irrational thing) but I would stoop to getting an Intel if the price/specs were very right.
1gb of ram or more.
DVD burner.

Not too bothered about:
Screen size - anything between 14" and 17" is ok.
Weight - Anything under around 11lb would be ok.
Extras such as web cam, blu tooth etc.
Storage - anything above 60gb would be ok.

I will be using it for work (autocad, dreamweaver, photoshop) and for light gaming/multimedia etc.

Basically I know what specs I want, but I have no idea who to trust in the laptop world, having never bought one before. I'm inclined to trust Asus.
