Which one do you have? Do you have any on a wishlist?
Which do you hate?
(I didn't say the i-word.)

I have the Dreaded Pod, but I think it's absolutely fine, apart from iTunes. Which is shitty. But yeah, the player holds many more songs than I can fit on it, and it plays them back whenever I ask it to. That's about all I need.
P.S. iTunes is shitty.

30GB iPod Video.
I like it.
I can watch TV shows on it when on the train. I can listen to music on it. Fits perfect in my pocket. Sounds good when hooked in to a stereo.
I don't mind iTunes either. It does what I need it to do, and I can subscribe to podcasts on it, so I don't need to remember to d/l my favourite shows.
I also worked out how to rip dvd films to it when bored a couple of weekends ago. Screens probably too small to watch a film on it, though.
The only thing I don't like about it is the battery life, when the screen is on for a long time it drains pretty quickly.

30GB iPod Video.
Ditto.
I ask because I kinda wanted to gloat over my new mp3 player. :D
It's a Cowon D2 (Cowon is also known as iAudio and jetAudio).
It's mentioned briefly here:

My first flash-based (as opposed to HDD) mp3 player. 50 hrs battery life for music, about 10 for video. And it has an SD/SDHC slot - I like the idea of being able to switch memory cards, like one used to with cassettes or CDs.
I have nothing against the iPod other than that there are better devices around for cheaper. And having to use iTunes. If I did have an iPod, I would use Rockbox: rockbox.org

I like it, but rarely use it.

And having to use iTunes.
Yes. iTunes is shitty. In fact, I am thinking about emailing Apple with a message that simply reads "iTunes is shitty." :O

oh yeah the D2 has a text reader and video playback is 320x240 24bit colour 30fps, pretty sweet. built in fm tuner. and it's touchscreen based. I'm trying to get a case for it now.

A 1GB Ipod Shuffle. It's small and great to use around the apartment (Cleaning, when there is too much noise and etc.)
I'd love a Toshiba Gigabeat or a larger Ipod (since I use Itunes a lot.)
However, they're not part of my current budget. The shuffle is really more than enough.

:O About 10-15. I thought it was awesome at the time. It ran off a single AAA battery!
You can still get those kind of players!

I have one that runs off of a single AAA. I use it when it's too cold to use my iPod outside. It hold 60-70 songs.

too cold? does the lithium battery crap out or something?

ooh, how? i've looked into it and have been pretty unsucessful.

i'm guessing it's to do with the scroll wheel being touch sensitive. Cold = gloves = hm?

Oh yeah. Batteries are susceptible to extreme temperatures though.

It's the battery. They say not to use an iPod outside if it's under 32f.

This is how I did it on a mac...I'm sure it is similar on a pc...
1, Used Handbrake (http://handbrake.m0k.org/) to rip the dvd to my computer.
2, Then used iMovie to convert the movie file to Ipod specifications
3, Used itunes to pop in on my ipod just like you would do with a song.
Ive found tv shows are much better to carry around on you then films. Watched lots of Peep Show and Blackadder on trains!
