Anyone dabbled with quiet CPU coolers? I was thinking of getting the Zalman 9500am2 as the first step making my PC way quiet.

I've never tried them, but I did clean out the heatsink with a cotton bud the other day. After I scraped out all the dust and shit, the CPU temp dropped by like 10 degrees. Everything runs much smoother now. :O
I dunno but I ordered a couple of Thermaltake Mobile Fan II External USB fans just this week to use on myself. My office is way too hot, and those nice looking USB fans have a reputation for dying easily. I'm expecting these to last since they're meant for hardware.

I like thermaltake stuff. It's usually cheesy but it works well.
Yep and for this purpose I'd rather have the overtly geeky fan than the cool laptop/accessory style USB fan that looks cute and breaks in a month.
