Hi everyone! I would have joined yesterday if I knew there would have been such a huge flood of new addiers today. You know, sort of beat the rush. But oh well, at least I'm here. A little about me:

I'm Fantasy Paradox's older brother. I've been listening to Elliott since about mid 2005. My first album was Basement, and I fell in love from there. I don't really know what else to say hahah.

Im pretty much exactly the same....on my computer the cover song "jealous guy" kept on playing in the I-Mesh(when it stopped playing the song I was downloading, it would then play Jealous Guy, like it was stuck, but I liked it more and more, and downloaded "son of sam" and I loved it, so i went to the music store and said "do you have elliott smith?" they said one cd, it was basement, and it had no plastic case, it was already opened and I suspected it had been listened to, but I had to have it.

A similar experience happened when I was looking through the Elliott Smith section at Borders (why, when I had all the albums already? I don't know, go look for the "You know you're an Elliott Smith fan when..." thread). They don't have a section for Heatmiser there, but someone had put Mic City Sons in Elliott's section. I didn't have it yet, and when I brought it up to the counter they noticed there was no shrink wrap. I bought it anyway, and later I noticed that the bar code sticker on it was for Either/Or. So I can only assume that someone returned a CD to Borders that they didn't purchase there, and a Borders employee put a "close enough" sticker on it. No complaints here.

Hey peeps!

Im james, i got into Elliott around last year and started lurking here since then.
XO was the first album i got, but i first heard him on the Thumbsuker soundtrack.

Thirteen still gets me every time, though See You in Heaven is my favourite song.

Um what more can i say, im looking forward to many interessting conversations! This place really intrigues me, you guys and gals always bring up interessting topics and i hope i can contribute.
