| Another remake hits the theaters, at least this one is worth it. Being a fan of dumb comedies this one ranks right up there with Napoleon Dynamite. Steve Martin shows his truth comedy gold genius throughout the film.
The film starts out about how France's football / soccer (for you Americans) was murdered and his huge pink panther diamond ring ends up missing. Kline's character is in charge of finding the killer, so to try and get his metal of honor he assigns dimwit Clouseau to the case so that Kline can work on the case behind the scenes without distraction as Clouseau trips over his retardedness. Yeah I know the plot sounds lacking, but alas this is not what you go and watch a dumb comedy for. :D Anyways with all this said, the comedy moments well make up for the plots shortcomings and I highly recommend this film if you just need a good laugh.
