| When you start to think every romantic movie coming out is just another boring hash of a prior one, you get suprised by a new original story written by Charlie Kaufman (he also wrote Being John Malkovich). This is definitely one of the better films of 2004 with a suprising performance by both Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. I really don't want to give much of this film's plot away since it'll spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it, but here is what I'll give you. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is about the meeting and breaking up and more of Joel (Jim Carrey) and Clementine (Kate Winslet) and all of their struggles, which eventually turn into internal struggles, since both decide to get their minds erased by a company that specializes in memory removal. Carrey while getting the procedure eventually figures out he doesn't want him memory erases and tries to take on the programs that try to whipe out his memories of his beloved Clementine. Very unusual movie and very entertaining. Reviewer Rating of Movie : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
