| Michael Moore... How you've grown over the last decade, from a little troublemaker in Flint, Michigan to trying to take down the president of the United States in 2004.
I think Michael made a very effective movie, it definitely got me thinking and I think that's the key to the movie. I don't think a lot of the things Michael Moore stated in the movie are correct, ie the link to the Saudis. Although it made me think and to question the government again which we really haven't been able to do since 9/11/2001. The movie opens with the 2000 presidential election with Al Gore's camp celebrating. And how Fox News called it in Bush's favor and the other networks folded and reversed their call to George W. Bush. Then the 9/11 plane crashes in New York happened, all without visuals leaving you in the dark and remembering how horrible that day was. From there Moore starts linking Bush's abuse of a scared America to fufill his plans in controlling more oil in the Middle East. The ending is my favorite where Moore closes with his favorite town, Flint, MI with Lila Lipscomb, a mother of a fallen war hero in Bush's Iraq War. It shows her struggle in understanding war protests and her 180 degree turn on the support of the war. Reviewer Rating of Movie : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
