Riot On an Empty Street, the second album from Norway-based indie pop outfit Kings of Convenience, is an extremely beautiful record. If you haven't heard this band before, you're really missing out. The quiet melodies and subdued strumming and piano pieces are sure to please.

Highlights include the Casio-tinged "I'd Rather Dance with You", the Belle & Sebastian-esque "Misread", and the best song Simon & Garfunkel never wrote "Surprise Ice".

If you're a fan of the dreamy and the mellow, this album is for you.
