I'll be the first to admit that I only bought the record because I've loved the song "In Your Eyes" ever since John Cusack's character blasted it from his boombox to his girlfriend's window in the famous scene from the 1989 classic movie Say Anything.

But when I gave the album a listen, I realized what a masterpiece it really is. It's not an album of singles, although it does have some great ones on it (along with "In Your Eyes" it has the hit songs "Sledgehammer" and "Big Time"). It's an album of great songs.... catchy and diverse masterpieces with lyrics that give you the chills.

Other highlights on the album include "Red Rain" and "Don't Give Up"(a beautiful duet with Kate Bush), but let's face it folks-- there's not a bad track on this record.

This album is essential to any music collection.

Reviewer Rating of CD :

i'm VERY surprised that lucas was the first person on this board to review this album. not blake or i, self confessed gabriel nuts?! lucas's review is quite good, and i agree with it almost one hundred percent, except to say peter's next two albums were even better!
