| This has to be one of the worst rip-offs I've seen in a while. The artists on this cd have no talent at all. Basically they create something in Drum Loops and sing along to it. They don't follow the mood of any of the White Stripes songs at all. Take out all the fun and energy of the White Stripes songs, add some techno beats and some crappy repeative melodic lines and you've got what's on this cd. Oh and on "You're Pretty Good Looking" they used Jack's voice all distorted instead of singing it themselves, it sounds horrible and I bet Jack would like to see some of the royalties on this one, I smell lawsuit ;D.
The only song that sounds good is "Little Room", this is because they didn't add any horrible techno and it's incredibly short, just sang along to it just like Jack White. Also "Hotel Yorba" was alright, though that song was so catchy to begin with it's hard to ruin. The Sad thing about all of this is I'm actually a fan of good techno such as Darren Emerson, Underworld, or Crystal Method, so I was excited to see a techno version of my favorite White Stripes songs. Although I was very very disappointed in this CD, anyways here is to another frisbee or coaster, this one won't be seeing my CD player again. 6/13/2003 Reviewer Rating of CD :  | |
