| I absolutely love this album; it gives me hope that there may be something good to come out of the sad current state of music. With complex melodies and structures giving it an edge, but still keeping the music listenable, the musicians here are obviously well versed and have great chemistry, The music is bold and emotional, and the lyrics and vocals and intelligent and pleasing. Unlike many other bands, when Abandoned Pools break convention into tangents and/or complex structures it doesn’t come off as seeming pretentious, what it comes off as is 12 songs of greatness that will leave you helpless to do anything but listen again.
