| The past few years haven't been easy for the boys in BRMC (they their drummer and got dropped from their record label).
However, this couldn't keep them down. They signed with another record company and their drummer rejoined. And the result was pure rock 'n' roll magic! This album is a coming of age type album for BRMC. While tinges of The Jesus and Mary Chain and Love and Rockets are heard on this album, it sounds more closely to classic Rolling Stones or something by Spiritualized. To sum up the album in three words: Independent Acoustic Gospel. And it works well... The songwriting here is utterly brilliant, and the compositions will make the hair stick up on the back of your neck. From the second you hear "Time won't save our souls!" in the first track, you know you'll be in for something great. Other highlights on the album include "Complicated Situation" and "Weight of the World". Reviewer Rating of CD : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
