| On their full-length debut, Death Cab for Cutie release a solid indie pop/rock record. But at the same time, it's obvious that they're a young band with lots of room to grow.
While there are a few very strong tracks on the album ("President of What", "Champagne from a Paper Cup"), the album tends to have some filler. But don't judge the band too harshly... they prove on their later albums how talented they are. I almost like to equate this album to Radiohead's Pablo Honey.... an album that doesn't compare to the band's later work, but still has a few good tracks and would be of interest to hardcore fans.
