As the third installment of the "Dark Trilogy" (with Pornography and Disintegration being the first and second installments, respectively), 2000's Bloodflowers is a crashing soundcape of darkness that gives me the chills every time I listen to it.

After 1996's sub-par Wild Mood Swings, I had high hopes for this album prior to its release in February 2000, and I was not let down. Being a huge fan of Disintegration, I love that this album is like a Disintegration for the new millenium.... yet another chapter in Robert Smith's self-odyssey. Highlights include "The Last Day of Summer", "There Is No If..." and "Maybe Someday", but I can honestly say there's not a weak track on this record.

This album is especially great if listened to after Pornography and Disintegration. So put the three discs from this Dark Trilogy in your CD player and let the goth tears flow, friends! I know I will!
