"Reveal" is one of those albums that I loved when I first heard it, and have liked less and less ever since. There are still a lot of really wonderful songs on it, but Stipe's voice isn't what it could be on many of the tracks, and as a result, the album suffers somewhat, considering Stipe's importance to R.E.M.'s music. "Reveal" does have a number of excellent songs, though, including:

The Lifting
I've Been High (truly amazing)
Saturn Return
Beat A Drum
Imitation Of Life
I'll Take The Rain

The truth is, "Reveal" is far better played live, so if you ever get a chance, seeing them live would be the way to go. Songs like "She Just Wants To Be" aren't spectacular on the album, but are amazing when played live.

By the way, it's nice to be doing reviews again, for the first time in almost a year, I'd suspect. I am no longer a part of Blamo's boards, but my loyalty to Aaron remains in my reviews.
